I’ve loved Beauty and the Beast since I was a child, and now I get to share my love of this classic fairy tale with the entire Towson High School community. It’s the perfect time and place to consider the morals that are presented in this show. Now, more than ever, I think it’s important for our youth to know that kindness is valued, and looking to the inner qualities of a person is so much more important than judging the exterior. I love that this story presents a girl who is powerful, a sacrifice that is noble, a bully who doesn’t win in the end, and a love that conquers all. I’m proud to be a part of the long history of this unforgettable, important work of art and to be able to share with audience members, young and old, a time and space to immerse themselves in this wondrous world where they can believe in magic. Enjoy the show!
