If you would have told me two years ago that I would not only act in 8 productions, but also direct an entire musical, I would have called you insane. It’s important to try everything you possibly can, because you never know what you’ll end up enjoying. Performing has been one of the most transformative experiences in my life; and directing this group of girls has been pure amusement. Thank you Sara for choreographing the entirety of the show, Julian and Alyssa for helping the girls learn and understand the dances, and thank you Mr. Laird for giving me the opportunity to take creative liberty with this show!
To the cast: The amount of hard work and dedication you girls put into this show has been incredible to witness. You are such a talented group of individuals and I couldn’t have asked for a better cast. You’re all nothing short of amazing and you’ve come together and created something stellar. The six of you are queens in your own right!
Caitlin: When I heard you sing for the first time, all I could say was “Wow!” The sheer amount of talent you possess is something that I’ve hardly ever seen before. Thank you for being a part of this, I can’t wait to see what’s next for you!
Maya: The one and only chaos goblin. All jokes aside, you are a truly gifted actress. Performing next to you has always been fun, but seeing you bring this character to life has been something special to watch.
Rebecca: I can’t believe you waited this long to do a show! You have such a soft, yet powerful voice, and you are simultaneously one of the nicest people. You were made to be on the stage.
Starr: You’re this talented, and you’re only a freshman?!? You have an energy that fills a room whenever you walk in. Your charisma and talent are going to shock audiences for years to come. You have a very bright future!
Sky: I don’t even know where to start. Seeing you transform yourself as a performer this year has been truly inspiring. You’ve developed yourself into a leader this year, both on and off the stage. Your growth this year is something that YOU caused, not anyone else. Make sure to remember that. If you set your mind to something, you’re sure to get it.
Isabella: To say that you surprised us all would be an understatement. You came into auditions and delivered a vocal that stunned the whole panel. I really hope you stick with theatre, because I know that you’re going to do big things the next two years.
To the audience, these girls have put in a serious amount of time and effort towards this show. I am very excited for you all to see their work come to life on stage. Please give them all the energy and love you possibly can within 75 minutes, they deserve it. I hope you enjoy SIX: Teen Edition.
