I am thrilled to be able to showcase the talent of this cast and crew! Finding a show that fits the number of interested students on campus; content that is relatable, entertaining and that we haven't done before...can be a challenge! As some of you sitting in the audience know, this is a show we have done before, so it took a lot to convince me to do it again. I have always wanted to bring new and challenging material to the students and our audiences. But when I was trying to decide on what musical to do, this one kept creeping back into my head. The message is still something that resonates. We are all trying to fit in, be better, chase a dream and figure out what we were meant for.
Theatre is so much more than just what you see on stage. These performers and technicians really do embody what Legally Blonde is all about! They have worked tirelessly to ensure that they give you the best performance...along with school all day, rehearsals for three hours after that, homework, jobs, appointments, extra-curricular activities, sports and of course, their "social agendas"... (What, like it's hard?) I think they are up to the challenge and will show you how extraordinarily talented they are, and I hope you see them on stage as actors, portraying roles with passion and determination...because that's what they are. These students are gifted, exceptional people and it is an honor to get to work with them.
Now sit back and enjoy the show and thank you for continuing to support THS Drama! We are lucky to have you as patrons!
Special Thanks:
Tom, Jessica, and Aiko- Somehow you were able to do it again! I am always amazed at the creativity and talent that you all possess. The inventive ways you come up with ideas for shows...your ability to solve problems or open our eyes to a new way of doing something. No one has a better team to work with...truly. Thank you for always being "up for the challenge" and making it come to life on stage! You really are...the Dream Team!
Ray-In the middle of this rehearsal period we became "empty nesters" and although I miss having the girls around, I am happy to know that I can come home to dinner on the table and still ask you to run errands for spray paint or bring your drill down to the theatre when ours dies! There is no one I'd rather hang out with and I'm happy we'll have more time for that in just a few weeks. Thanks for knowing what you were getting into and still jumping in! Love you!
Abby and Emma-Thanks for being such a supportive crew...and cheering me on from afar! I'm sad you won't be in the audience, but I'm happy that I'll have some free time to come visit once the show is over. Love you both and I am so proud of you!
Mom-Thanks for our Wednesday night dinners...it has been a wonderful way to catch up during these busy days/ nights! You have always been my biggest supporter and I know I can count on you for all things "theatre"!
Parents of cast and crew-Thank you for sharing your students with us and allowing them to take part in such a worthwhile and beneficial actitivity! They are pretty awesome!
Talk of the Town Boosters-Thank you for continuing to support the THS Drama and Speech departments with your scholarships, donations and hard work for these kids! It does not go unnoticed!
