Justine Mackey

Director

Justine Mackey- Is a 7th year high school Theatre Teacher with Troupe 6794 at Spotswood High School in Penn Laird  VA. You may recognize her troupe as the 2022 One Act Chapter Select Winners for their production of Elephant’s Graveyard. She is thrilled to be the director of the 2025 Virginia Thespian All-State Show A Chorus Line! She is a big advocate of Theatre in our schools! Her favorite directing roles include Chicago, Singin’ In The Rain, Mean Girls, Anastasia,  Midsummer, Grease & A Doll’s House. Favorite Past Performances include Velma in Chicago, Lady M in Macbeth, Dolly in Hello Dolly, and memorable supporting television roles: House of Cards & Homeland. She would like to thank her husband and beautiful daughters for their understanding and unconditional love even though she has to be away from them all the hours each season. Enjoy the show!

Megan Emanuel

Choreographer 

Megan Emanuel has been teaching in Campbell County since 2001 and took over the Theatre Department at Brookville High School for eighteen years where she is the director of Junior Thespian Troupe 89642 and Thespian Troupe 7962.  She holds a B.A. in English and an MEd. in School Counseling from Lynchburg College.  Megan coaches the One-Act Competition team, the Speech Team, and the Dance Team.  She has directed over 100 plays and musicals during her tenure at Brookville. In addition to running the middle and high school programs, she directs a winter and summer kids camp, which funds her program and trains the next generation of Thespians.  She was named Brookville High School’s Teacher of the Year and one of Lynchburg Living’s Top Teachers in 2017.  She is a member of the Educational Theatre Association and serves on the board for the VA Thespians as co-director of the All-State Show.  Megan was recently accepted as a 2024 VDOE Steering Committee member for the Fine Arts. She’s been married to her husband, Mike, for twenty years and they have three amazing children Emily (17), Ethan (14), and Eli (9).
