NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR

It is sometimes difficult to find a show that will not only appeal to the students and surrounding community but also sends a positive message. When I saw Sister Act on Broadway I knew this would be a terrific high school show! It was fun and I loved the music. However, what I appreciated most about this particular production is that woven into all of the glitz, glamour and fun, we find a heart-felt story about a group of women who discover that they are far more than what they believed themselves to be.

I am extremely proud of this production. The quality of talent that the cast, crew, and orchestra demonstrate is amazing. However, a truly successful production involves more than what is being presented on stage. The real learning comes from the artistic process and then the artistic expression which develops from it. I'm especially proud of the cooperation, respect, commitment, and teamwork that has been demonstrated by our student body throughout the production process. It is inspiring for an educator to witness the artistic growth and maturity of students as they cultivate their craft, take ownership of what they created, while building strong, lasting bonds with their fellow thespians. The cast and crew have put their egos aside and discovered that whether they had one line or fifty, were on stage or back stage, that everyone shares equally in the pride and success of such a production.

To My Seniors - It's bittersweet for me watching your final performances on the Titan Stage. You have each grown so much throughout the years. Some of you I have known since you were Tiny Titan Players in elementary school and graced the Titan Stage in 2010's Wizard of Oz and 2011's Willy Wonka. Others, I have known for just four short years. Yet, each of you have madethe Titan Stage proud. Now, as your graduation day approaches, please know you have made your mark not only on the Titan Stage but also in the hearts of the Titan community. I wish you all the best that life has to offer. Quest, Sean, Zach, Avery, and Madisyn always remember to stay true to yourself and never stop reaching for your dreams. Bravo!

Love, Love, Love,
