English: "Contigo, pan y cebolla" is a seminal piece in current theater history, set in 1950s Cuba. Hector Quintero, like few others, understood how to investigate the essence of the Cuban and bring it to the stage with a tremendous feeling of identity and authenticity. The story follows a humble Havana family's effort to realize their aspirations and raise their children in the midst of economic ups and downs. The advent of a refrigerator at his residence acts as a pretext for revealing the history of its members' joys and weaknesses.Lala Fundora represents the lady, the kind, concerned Cuban mother who fights to push her children forward and works tirelessly to ensure that they accomplish their highest goals.

La trama narra la lucha de una modesta familia habanera, por realizar sus sueños y sacar adelante a sus hijos en medio de los vaivenes económicos. La llegada de un refrigerador, a su casa, sirve de pretexto para exponer el trasfondo de alegrías y carencias de sus integrantes.
Lala Fundora, representa a la mujer , a la madre cubana amorosa, preocupada, que batalla por sacar adelante a sus hijos, y pone todo su esfuerzo para que logren sus mayores anhelos.
