About Miss Julie

 

Miss Julie is a one-act play written in 1888 by a sewdish playwright August Strindberg. The story takes place in the kitchen of the Count's estate. On Midsummer night, when everyone is in holiday spirits, sexual and class warfare breaks out between three people - Miss Julie, Jean, and Kristin.

About Project

 

This is Yoonie Yun's thesis project, who is a second year MA candidate in Theatre&Performance at UB. Her main inquiry of this project is 'Directing in the Cyborg Theatre World' which is aiming to explore the idea of Multimedia theatre in the Virtual world. 

 

"Let’s explore how August’s naturalistic play Miss Julie could be ‘actual’ in this world of ‘virtual’."
