The University of Montana acknowledges that we are in the aboriginal territories of the Salish and Kalispel people, a number of whom are our colleagues, students, and friends. Today, we honor the path they have always shown us in caring for this place for the generations to come.

Montana Repertory Theatre, the School of Theatre and Dance, and the Missoula community lost a dear colleague and friend in January 2021—Greg Johnson. Greg came to Missoula from New York City in 1991 to take over artistic direction of the Rep for what he thought would be a one-year gig. He quickly fell in love with Missoula and its inhabitants and stayed for nearly thirty years. His impact on the arts in this region will be felt for many years to come, and his work lives on in the countless students he taught and directed over his tenure. We dedicate this season to him and hope that each of our performances offers you an opportunity to remember his contributions to the arts in Montana. |
