Bugsy Malone JR. - March 13 - March 21, 2014

Valdosta Middle School

 Acknowledgements

The cast and crew of Bugsy Malone, Jr. are very grateful to have you in our audience tonight.  This production has combined the talents of over one hundred and twenty-five middle school students.  Countless hours of rehearsing, singing, dancing, painting, and cutting little pieces of tin foil have made this a very exciting adventure.  We could not be on this stage performing for you without the help of some very special people.

  • To the parents of any person on this stage.  We, as an entire cast, would like to say thank you.  Thank you for listening to us sing the same song hundreds of times.  Thank you for not laughing at us as we try to speak in a New York accent.  Thank you for letting us use the kitchen to practice our dances. Thank you for sewing our costumes the night before they are due.  Thank you for bringing us to and from rehearsals.  Thank you for not being mad at us for getting paint on our jeans at set day.  Thank you for being here for us, for supporting us and for believing in us.  We would not be able to step into the spotlight unless you were behind us 100% of the way.  Mom, Dad, Uncle, Auntie, Grandma, Grandpa, Godmother, Godfather, Cousin, Sister, Brother, and any other adult that has touched our lives...we love you very much.
  • A very special thank you to any parent who is or has been backstage helping corral the kittens, fix a zipper, finding a saftey pin/bobby pin/ glue stick or just being a presence.  And also to all the parents who will be chaperoning the morning performance.  I would lose my mind without those awesome parents helping out!
  • The fabulously talented Ms. Angie Faber and the VMS Visual Arts Department.  You took globs of color and turned them into the beautiful backdrops on our stage tonight.
  • Mrs. Cowart did an amazing job on our Show Girl dresses.
  • Mrs. Kelli Cowart helped us get ready backstage.  We couldn't look "this good" without you!
  • Mrs. Dee Cox has been our right hand woman for this production.  Thank you for the long set days we needed to create many of the awesome props on the stage.
  • Mrs. Mattia Goddard for your ingenious knowledge in creating larger props.
  • Mr. Martin Roesch and the Valdosta City Schools Board of Education.  It was your vision that has created this program to what it is today.  Thank you for your continued support.
  • To the administration, faculty and staff of Valdosta Middle School.  Thank you for your continuous support of the fine arts in our school.
  • Mr. Rountree, Mr. Ricardo Ipina and the VHS Performing Arts Center. Thank you for allowing us to use this beautiful theatre.
