Letter from Yang Kellogg, VHS Theatre Booster President
I want to take few minutes to Thank you for allowing me to be part of this amazing program filled with such talent and dedication. I have really enjoyed being the President of Theatre Booster Club for the past 2 years. It’s been an experience I will never forget and will be forever grateful for having the opportunity to work with wonderful students, parents and directors.
I have been so impressed and awed at the dedication and love that exists
among the students and the directors. It truly is a wonderful space for students to feel safe and free to explore not only their talent but their heart. None of this would be possible without the support of “YOU” the parents. Your trust in our department and support does not go unnoticed. It is a pertinent part of the success of our program. The support you provide means the world to your students and us. Please know that we truly appreciate everything you do.
I would like to mention how lucky we are to have our directors - Ms. Schneider (soon to be Mrs. Hardgrave) , Mr. Alonso, and Mr. Conner. Ms. Schneider has been a blessing to our program. Not only is she amazingly talented but her naturally caring and friendly personality has brought unity and warmth to our department. Mr. Alonso’s ability to relate to students has always provided an open environment for students to feel wanted and know he will be there for them. His kindness is heartfelt. Of course, it goes without saying how grateful we are to have such a creative and talented Tech Director, Mr. Conner, who is always there to teach students and make our stage come to life with his ideas
and direction.
I would like to thank the wonderful Board members I’ve had the pleasure of working with… Sarah Doolittle, Carol Andrus, Alice Spanjersberg, Tracy Zavelson, Ivonne Mercado, Marci Deaver. Thank you, Thank you! I couldn’t have done it without you! It’s been a ride, and it’s been absolutely wonderful getting to know all of you. I will miss working with you and our post meeting chats…
Last but not least, I would like to thank my husband – Bill. When I volunteer, I volunteer him by default. We come as a team. He is awesome!
