Wow! Has this been a crazy show. It is the youngest and "greenest" cast I have had in 20 years. But, they are sooo incredibly talented. I can't wait to see what they can do after a few years of experience and maturity. We have had our share of ups and downs. One in a cast, one in a boot, projections failing, costume malfunctions, etc. But in the end, it all comes together. Thank you all for your support in our 21st annual spring show.
I would like to give a special shout out to a few people. My co-director Mrs. Shanks has been amazing. Her creativity and glue gun skills are incredible. From cricuting to sewing magnets, she does it all. A huge thanks to Connor Windings and his crew of VHS students for all the effort put into the lighting, sound, set changes, and everything else. You are amazing! To Nathan Corbit, who spent 30+ hours on Sven, the reindeer, and other props. He is incredibly talented and very appreciated. Thanks to John Winding for getting lights, sound and projections installed. Thank you to my husband for making it snow and my parents for the extra babysitting these last few weeks. Thank you to Karamie Waller for helping with choreography and tons of things this week. Also thank you Briley Shanks for doing everything your mom and I ask of you! Thank you to all our parent volunteers. Without you, we couldn't have a show. Also thank you to Bonnita Penrod for helping with some of the music. Thank you as well to the Secret Garden for donating flowers for tonight's show. Thank you to the VGS staff, especially the custodians for all their assistance.
Finally thank you to both the VGS and VHS administration. VGS has been so supportive of us over the years and now to have VHS involved gives us even more access to facilities and equipment that have brought our shows to a new level. Thanks to the VHS staff for hosting us this week. Big thanks to Robin and Nathan and the night crew for all the extra help and to Charlotte and the kitchen staff for feeding us. You're great!
