The philosophy of Viviana Theatre and its supporting ensemble groups is to provide creative opportunities for cast, crew, and theatre staff to learn and develop in the craft of producing live theatre. Through mentoring programs, Viviana Theatre will provide opportunities to work with theatre professionals; all within an environment that encourages learning, respect, and responsibility. Youth and adults have the options to audition for performing roles as well as to volunteer to participate in behind the scenes activities that the support the creative process and production development.
Viviana's secondary goal is to challenge our creative staff and performers and create the ultimate theatre experience for the members of the surrounding communities as well as those involved in the productions. Individuals of all age groups will be encouraged to be involved in live theatre while presenting high quality, entertaining theatrical performances.
In the spirit of excellence, the mission of Viviana Theatre's Youth Program is to provide local youth with a safe and nurturing arts and culture environment and experience; a place where they can both build life skills such as creative problem solving, team work, risk taking, and tolerance, at the same time that they hone and grow their theatrical ability and enhance their self-awareness and self-esteem. Viviana is proud to say that "no child has been turned away;" no matter what their talent or experience level, every child is accepted/given a role.
