The Red Leader Award is given to a member of the pit orchestra who has gone above and beyond. It goes to someone who has been a role model to all their fellow musicians by being dedicated, helpful, and hard-working. This person embodies the Wildcat Way by being kind, safe, respectful, and responsible. The Red Leader Award recognizes a member of the pit as exemplary.
This year's Red Leader recipient is violinist Stephanie Veliz!
This year’s award goes to a member of the pit orchestra who consistently comes to rehearsal prepared and ready to work. This year she has been given a leadership role within the orchestra, but she has always been a leader, even without a title. I know I can rely on her for anything; she is flexible and willing to step up in all situations. She is compassionate, helpful always has a positive attitude. She is a wonderful musician and she consistently works to become even better. Over the last three years, I have only ever seen tenacity, diligence, and professionalism from her. She is truly a role model for any musician. That is why concertmaster Stephanie Veliz has earned the Red Leader Award. Congratulations Stephanie, and thank you for all your hard work.

The Gypsy Robe is an award given to an ensemble member who has gone above and beyond. Someone who has been a role model to all their cast mates. Someone helpful, hardworking, and compassionate. They embody the Wildcat Way by being kind, safe, respectful, and responsible. The Gypsy Robe recognizes an ensemble performer as exemplary!
This year’s Gypsy Robe recipient is Victoria Nichols.
This year’s Gypsy Robe recipient is someone who works hard and commits herself 100% to everything she does. She holds herself to a high standard and is a leader among her peers. She worked especially hard for this year’s production leading rehearsals, assisting the directors, collaborating with the pit, and learning all her own songs and choreography. This show would not have been possible without her dedication and commitment. I see nothing but success for her future! Congratulations Victoria Nichols! I am proud of your hard work and I thank you so much for being such a valuable asset to this show!
