Shrek The Musical - April 27 - April 29, 2018

Wabasha Kellogg High School

 Who's Who

  • Reina Beisell head shot

    Reina Beisell

as Pied Piper, Duloc Chorus, Puppeteer, Pinocchio Understudy

Reina is a senior this year, and she is very sad to leave a wonderful drama department. She has been in every fall play, one One Act, and every spring musical since the 9th grade. Reina’s favorite memory from drama club is when she almost fell climbing the stairs during the song Centerfold in the musical Back to the 80’s. Let’s just say that she didn’t appreciate that someone forgot to pull the stairs all the way out, so she had to take a giant step to the stage while wearing a very long and tight pencil skirt. Thankfully, someone behind her made her stable enough so she didn’t fall back and make her castmates fall like dominoes. She could go on and on about her experiences on stage, but you’d be reading for hours. She hopes that you enjoy this amazing, yet stinky show. She promises she’ll give it hell for one last time! Reina also wants to thank Mr. Medina for being so kind and encouraging.

  • Paul Cushman head shot

    Paul Cushman

    as Donkey

Paul is a senior and he has been in numerous productions at Wabasha-Kellogg: highlights include Anything Goes, Back to the 80’s, and Flowers for Algernon.  He is looking forward to the stellar music in this production (It’s the best), and his greatest memory from the W-K Drama department is probably something he can’t include in this bio.

  • Ashley Haxton head shot

    Ashley Haxton

    as Adult Fiona

Ashley is a senior. Throughout high school, Ashley has participated in many extracurricular activities, including cross country, band, choir, track and field, speech, and theatre. She joined drama club in 7th grade and has played the major roles of Brigitta Von Trapp in The Sound of Music, Jacey Squires in The Music Man, and Alice Kinnian in Flowers for Algernon. Next year, she will attend Gustavus Adolphus College and major in biochemistry and molecular biology, with plans of going into the medical field, and she will also continue doing music and theatre while in college. Ashley’s favorite memory from the W-K drama department comes from the amazing directors and students that she’s been able to work with throughout the years. She absolutely loves the theatre program here at W-K and hopes you enjoy Shrek the Musical!
