Vanities - October 21 - October 23, 2022

Walloomsac River Theatre Company

 End Notes

Director- Vincent Tatro

Vinny Tatro was born and raised in Bennington, VT, and he could not love his hometown area more. He fell in love with the theatre arts in elementary school, and went on to be very involved in Mt. Anthony Union High School's music and drama departments. From there, he went on to earn a BA in Acting & Directing and a BS in Public Relations from local Castleton University. With rich roots in Southern Vermont, Vinny is unbelievably excited to be a part of WRTC and help spread accessible and inclusive opportunities for everyone to get involved with the theatre arts on a local scale.

Note from the Director:

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for attending this production of "Vanities" by Jack Heifner. It means more to me than anyone can know.

I have loved the theatre arts ever since the 2nd grade, when I saw Molly Stark Elementary's production of "Honk Jr The Musical" Directed by Lynn Sweet. It was flawlessly inspiring.

Since then, I devoted my studies to the theatre arts and went off to Castleton University and studied Acting & Directing. It was there that I learned that a theatrical production does not have to be big, perfect, or professional to be great art.

In July of 2022, D. Mark Blank and I decided to channel our love for community theatre together and create Walloomsac River Theatre Company.

WRTC is all about community and inclusivity. We are a company for everyone.

Thank you to everyone involed!

And special thanks to Marro's, the Sage Street Mill, and Second Congregational Church, UCC! And to the cast & crew. You were a perfect team and I could not do this without you.

To quote HSM "This is the start of something of new."

"The dictionary meaning of vanity: 1) the quality of being personally vain, excessive pride in one's own appearance, qualities, gifts, and achievements 2) Emptiness, unreality, sham, folly, want of real value   3) A dressing table.
The play 'Vanities' means all of these things."~ Jack Heifner
