  • Harlan Mapp

    Producer / Director / Set Design & Construction

    Harlan Mapp, of Hattiesburg, MS, is one of the Choir Directors at Warren Central High School. Harlan has performed various roles as Captain Tempest (Return to the Forbidden Planet), the Phantom (Phantom of the Opera), Nathan Detroit (Guys & Dolls), Ebenezer Scrooge (A Christmas Carol), a member of the Songs for a New World cast, Ping (Turandot), the Mandarin (Turandot), Count Monterone (Rigoletto), Ko-Ko (The Mikado), Doncairo (Carmen), and the Father (Hansel and Gretel).

    Harlan served as production manager, director, music director, set designer/technical director, and props master for various shows, Hansel and Gretel, Too Many Sopranos, Three Little Pigs, Pinocchio, The Billy Goats Gruff, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, with the Natchez Festival of Music, Opera Mississippi, and Southern Opera and Musical Theatre Company. 

    Harlan holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Choral Conducting from The University of Southern Mississippi.

  • Richard Culpepper

    Music Director

    Richard Culpepper, a native of Pearl, MS is one of the Choir Directors at WCHS and Organist at Crawford Street United Methodist Church. Richard has accompanied many performers over the years and has written arrangements for choirs, small ensembles, show choir, and instrumentalists.

    He has performed with the Mississippi River Chorale, Ole Miss Men’s Glee, Ole Miss Concert Singers, and Holmes Community College's Coachmen.’ He has been in many productions in the past with roles including Pappy in Lil’ Abner, Doody in Grease, Willard Hewitt in Footloose, and Rosencrantz in the world premiere of Hamlet: An Opera in Five Acts. 

    Richard holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and a Master's degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Mississippi.
