“Merry Christmas, 1977!!”

I was nine years old that Christmas Eve, and I’m sure I was thrilled to be celebrating my favorite holiday by attending Midnight Mass. I couldn’t wait for that special mass every year - it had storytelling, music, costumes and even scenery! I’ve always thought that my interest in the theatre came from my early introduction to the Catholic church. They have a lot in common, and I think SISTER ACT is a perfect blend of those two things and a great way for us to celebrate this season of giving, family, friendships and love.

Deloris learns a lot about herself in her few short weeks at Queen of Angels Parish - she finds that she is able to share her love of music and performing with her sisters and they are able to share their fellowship and faith with her. In the end, I think all involved are better for the adventure! (well, maybe not Curtis and his gang, but you get the idea...)

Speaking of adventure, this has been a wonderful one for me! The entire company is delightful and so hard-working! I’m thrilled to be able to share in their creativity and the energy and joy they bring to their work, their designs and their performances. I need to send a big THANK YOU to two special ladies - Sharon Sohner, whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with since 1992 - thank you for always giving 110% and for doing your darndest to bring my visions to life. I’m proud to be your friend and co-creator. And I can’t forget to thank the woman who keeps it all running so smoothly - Debbie Volden, who keeps me on track, informed and basically tells me what’s going on most of the time... I couldn’t do it so easily without you!! Thank you ladies for being an invaluable part of MY Sister Act! It’s easy when “I’ve got my sisters by my side...

Thank you so much for joining us. I encourage you to sit back, relax, enjoy the show and just try to get these songs out of your head. I’ve been humming them for months. Now it’s your turn! “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and here’s to a Happy and Healthy New Year, 2022!!”
