Katherine Rauscher as Sophie Sheridan, Donna's daughter
Katherine Rauscher is happy to return to the East End Players stage for her final high school musical. Recent EEP roles include Miranda in Return to the Forbidden Planet and Mrs. Cratchit in A Christmas Carol. You may also have seen her as Feste in Twelfth Night with Out of the Woods Theatre. In addition to acting, Katherine enjoys playing French Horn and trumpet, developing her engineering skills at CTech Manufacturing, and promoting aviation at Learn Build Fly. Katherine is grateful to Dave Conrad, Jody Hettinga, Steve Lange, and Robert Perkins for challenging her to learn and grow as a performer and as a person.
Eva Schmelzer as Donna Sheridan, Sophie's mother
Eva Schmelzer is a senior and transfered to East her sophomore year. She was in the cast of Laugh-In and Fiddler on the Roof. Last year she was the narrator for A Christmas Carol and was Gloria in Return to the Forbidden Planet. Eva is an honor student and also participates in East Athletics where she is the manager of the Boys' Soccer Team and a member of the Girls' Soccer Team. She plays the alto saxophone in the Wausau East Band.
Alex Benson as Sam Carmichael, might be Sophie's father
This is Alex’s fourth year in the East End Players, having the honor of being in every single production since the beginning of his freshman year. Alex is thrilled to be Sam Carmichael in this production. His roles as Doctor Prospero in Return to the Forbidden Planet and Gary Owens in Rowan and Martin’s Laugh In being some of his favorite roles throughout the years. Alex directed 20 Books in Search of a Reader, a one act put on last year during the pandemic. Alex plays french horn and saxophone in the Wausau East band. He studied with Mr. McComb for two years and currently takes voice lessons with Mrs. Hettinga at the Wausau Conservatory of Music. Alex is currently serving on the East End Players board as Co-President. He looks forward to a great senior year performing with the East End Players! He’d like to thank his parents for their continued support and dedication towards the East End Players.
Henry "Hank" Held as Bill Austin, might be Sophie's father
Henry Held is a junior this year and is very excited to be in mamma Mia. He is in the band at east and is playing saxophone this year, and is also a member of the Wausau East tech crew. He would like to thank his sister, Olivia Held, for getting him into the hobby of theater. Henry hopes all of you enjoy the show as much as he has.
Tony Wanta as Harry Bright, might be Sophie's father
Tony is quite excited to be in his first production with the Wausau East End Players. Tony has been doing theater for almost a decade now, having started with the groups Wausau Community Theater and Central Wisconsin Children’s Theater. He is proud to present to you all the role of Harry Bright and asks that you all enjoy the show!
