    Grant Sorenson

    Director

    Grant Sorenson is an actor and director based in Minneapolis. He has been seen onstage at the Guthrie, Theater Latte Da, The Children's Theatre Company, Yellow Tree Theater, Frank Theater, The Playwright's Center, and others. He was honored with a 2016 Ivey Award for his performance in Now or Later with New Epic Theater. His recent work as a director includes Vincent River and Boston Marriage (Arrow Theater) and The Great Work (7th House Theater/Guthrie Theater.) His directing work at Wayzata High School includes Legally Blonde, Vanity Fair, Chicago, Mary Poppins, The Crucible, The Glass MenagerieThe Mail Order Bride, and The Debutante. He received his training at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and is a proud member of the Actors' Equity Association.

    Technical Director

    Dennis is so excited to see this outdoor extravaganza come to life. He gets great joy out of seeing students’ hard work pay off. Dennis has been teaching either theatre or swimming since he was 13, and past schools include Breck School, Delasalle, Norwood Young America, Bemidji, and more. Favorite professional roles include Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Minneapolis Musical Theatre, Paul Bunyan Playhouse, Lakeshore Players, and Ashland Productions. Enjoy the show!

    Dan Panessa

    Set Designer

    A scenic designer and artist who comes to us from New York City, Daniel is the recipient of the “Helen Hayes Theater, New York, Best Scenic Design Award” for his original stage interpretations of Rogers & Hammerstein’s “The King & I” and Jerry Herman's “Mame”. Daniel received the “Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award” for “Best Musical” for his work as scenic designer for “Steel Pier”. His work at Wayzata High School includes “Chicago”, “Failure…A Love Story”, “Legally Blonde”, “Vanity Fair”, and “Gypsy”.
