Justin Spooner
Director
Justin Spooner is a theatre educator whose focus is on supporting young artists as they develop their own artistic voice. Before joining WHS he was co-chair of the Edina High School Theatre department as well as the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists Theatre department. Justin holds a M.ED in Education and a B.A in Theatre arts from the University of Minnesota, and is an alumnus of the Abandoned Practices Institute through the School of the Art Institute Chicago.

Nathania Apple
Asst. Director / Costume Designer
Nathania has never outgrown her love of playing dress up. Whether onstage or behind the scenes, cosplaying or donning fancy dress for a party, she finds magic in the way a simple outfit can change one's outlook and bring depth and nuance to a character. It is her great joy to share this love with WHS Theatre costumers and actors. When not in the costume shop, she works as Director of Sales & Marketing for Cherrywood Fabrics and sews clothing and quilts in her home fiber arts studio.

Elijah Leer
Vocal Music Director
Elijah Leer is a music director and educator from Northfield, MN, and he currently teaches choir classes at Wayzata High School. A 2022 graduate of St. Olaf College and an avid pianist, Mr. Leer has directed music, played in the pit, and/or appeared on stage in several productions in the Twin Cities area, most recently as Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet at the Old Log Theater. Mr. Leer spends his summers with the College Light Opera Company on Cape Cod, where he is an associate conductor.
