Cinderella (Broadway Edition) - March 08 - March 11, 2023

West Catholic High School

 End Notes

This show has proven to be a GIANT undertaking. With nearly 75 students involved, how could it not be? We have not only the biggest cast in my 4 years with the program, but the largest pit orchestra as well. It is incredible to come to rehearsal every night and see so many teenagers so excited about the performing arts.

I have seen firsthand how a student’s self confidence can grow because of their participation in theatre. West Catholic’s patron Pope Saint John Paul II said in his Letters to Artists: “Those who perceive in themselves this kind of divine spark which is the artistic vocation—as poet, writer, sculptor, architect, musician, actor and so on—feel at the same time the obligation not to waste this talent but to develop it, in order to put it at the service of their neighbor and of humanity as a whole.” I am delighted to be able to cultivate my own “divine spark” in this community.

It has been a joy watching these kids grow these past few months. Joi, Conor, Kelsey, Darren, and I are so, so proud of them.

Finally, I am grateful that you chose to spend your evening with us. Thank you for supporting the West Catholic Theatre Program; productions like this are only possible with the support of the community. We appreciate you purchasing tickets, flowers, and hair tinsel, all proceeds help ensure we can continue putting on wonderful shows every year. If you feel called to donate in a larger capacity, please find me after the show. I hope you enjoyed your night at the ball, and that you join us for future performances!
