Salma is an 11-year-old sixth grader. She joined MTC in 2013. She loves singing, dancing, and while singing and dancing, goofing off. That’s why she auditioned for Donkey: his bubbly personality matched her own. Her other passion is reading. You can’t find her for long without a book. She believes reading helps her as a performer because it allows her to see the world from different perspectives.

Marcella is a 12 year-old seventh grader attending school in Oakland. The Carnegie Hall choral group performance with MTC is a highlight because her Uncle, Dr. Lloyd Arriola, and other relatives saw her perform. Playing Pinocchio for Shrek the Musical Jr. allows her to apply her love for special effects makeup. She is self-taught with the guitar and is known as the “ukulele girl” at school.
