Josh Ansley

Josh’s interest in acting began at Sierra College, and then Vanguard University, where he would eventually earn his B.A. in English Lit. after briefly majoring in Cinema/Broadcast Media and Theatre. He mostly enjoyed acting in various student projects, notably as Jake in Sam Shephard’s A Lie of the Mind. While working for a production company, auditioning, and doing film/tv extra work in the greater LA area, he studied professionally with casting director and acting coach, Chuck McCollum. Josh worked as a sports writer for the Auburn Journal/Loomis News, before moving on to earn his teaching credential from Brandman University. He has been teaching theatre and directing shows here at Whitney High since 2016. He loves hiking, basketball, and time with family.
Mallory Ansley

Mallory has been a dedicated dance teacher and choreographer since 2009, with five years of experience coaching high school dance teams. After spending eight rewarding years teaching dance at Whitney High School, she retired last year to focus on her family. Mallory holds a degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Psychology from William Jessup University and earned her teaching credential from Brandman University. Her love for dance began at age three, and she has trained in tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and musical theater. Over the past 15 years, Mallory has choreographed numerous musicals for local high schools, dedicating 9 of those years to WHS.She enjoys sharing her passion for dance with theatre students, guiding them in expressing their characters’ stories through choreography.
