Elf The Musical Jr - December 12 - December 15, 2019

William Henry Oliver Middle School

 LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR

Welcome to our ELF show!

We decided this year to find a show that could be our holiday gift to you...from our theatre family to you and yours. ELF is a happy, light-hearted story with deep values. It reminds us of what is really important. Hopefully, we make you laugh and you also stop and remember what really matters to you this holiday season.

In some ways, Buddy seems like a child-like character, but in more ways, you will see that his words and actions show that he has found the secret to what really matters at Christmas and all year long.  These students have worked incredibly hard and have poured their time, energy, and love into this show. I always tell them that the “magic” of theatre is really just all the hard work you put into a show. That is what makes the magic show up on opening night.

Theatre at Oliver is one of the few places where 5th-8th grade students work together on a daily basis on a collaborative piece.

It is always one of my greatest goals to create a beautiful story which resonates with the audience and to strengthen the family of theatre at Oliver. I think that many students have found their home base with Oliver theatre. They really do become one big family.

Thank you to Holly Cannon-Hesse and Beth Anne Musiker for your amazing collaboration with this show.

Thank you to the parents for all your support and help, committee members who worked so hard, Oliver administration for your support, OMS Drama Boosters for endless work, and most of all to the students who poured their hearts and souls into this beautiful story.

Students, you are much loved!
