OUR MISSION
The mission of the Winston Churchill High School Theatre Department is to educate humane theatre artists and scholars, preparing them to enter recognized universities, conservatories and professions with a knowledge of evolving industry expectations and standards; to sustain and enrich the art form by encouraging and nurturing the development of new talent through the exploration of diverse genres; and to provide students with unique artistic experiences that foster skills in collaboration, communication, problem solving and leadership.
“Crazy for You” is a romantic comedy musical with a book by Ken Ludwig, lyrics by Ira Gershwin, and music by George Gershwin. It is largely based on the songwriting team’s 1930 musical, “Girl Crazy”, but incorporates songs from several other productions as well. “Crazy for You” won the 1992 Tony Award for Best Musical.
