The SpongeBob Musical - April 09 - April 11, 2026

Yorktown High School

 End Notes

Welcome to tonight's performance of The SpongeBob Musical. I am very proud of this cast and crew, and I can't wait for you to experience the results of countless hours of rehearsal and prep work. Thank you to my wonderful cast and crew, especially my stage managers, Lena and Mya. You are the best, and I don't know what I will do without you next year!

Congratulations to all of our seniors as they wrap up this chapter in their lives and prepare for a bright future. This year's seniors are very special to me. They will continue to be a part of our family and will be greatly missed.

I want to especially thank Mr. Holzer for his wonderful example and talents over the past eleven years that I have worked with him.  The Drama Club has benefited from his amazing sets and leadership. We will miss him terribly, but we also understand that he has earned many more adventures in this beautiful life outside of Yorktown High School.

Thank you for supporting the YHS Drama Club this season. We will see you in the fall!

It is hard to believe that 14 years have passed since my son joined YHS drama for the production of Meet Me in St Louis.  Like a good dad, I volunteered to help by building a trolley. That turned into building the whole set. I had no clue what I was doing at the start, but here I am, all those years later, supervising the construction of my final set. It has been a joy working with drama students to build 23 sets for plays and musicals, but it is time to let someone else take up the tools. Thank you, Cheryl Trauthwein, Abby Mills, Dave Slagle, and Shana Hochstetler, for letting me be a part of your drama programs. Thank you, audience, for supporting our theater students. Thank you, cast and crew, for letting this old man have the fun times with you.
