As we approach the performances of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we've shared over the past couple of months. It has truly been a joy to work with such a talented cast, whose dedication and enthusiasm have breathed new life into this beloved story.
While this musical has been presented many times before, this is a first for us here at YAT. Our interpretation feels uniquely vibrant and fresh, thanks in large part to the new music that adds layers of excitement and emotion. The richness of the characters invites us to explore their dreams, flaws and transformations, making this production a delightful experience for both the performers and the audience.
I am immensely grateful for the creativity and vision of our extraordinary team. From our Stage Manager, Alexi, and Assistant Stage Manager, Miles, to our Music Director, Matt, and Choreographer, Ashlyn, each member has brought their own brilliance to the table, elevating the entire production to new heights.
A heartfelt thank you also goes out to the volunteers who have dedicated their time and talent to this project. Erica and her team have crafted stunning costumes, while Brett and his crew have created a magical set. Jenny and her team have meticulously curated the props that bring our world to life.
Finally, I must acknowledge YAT Executive Director, Kristina, YAT Board President, Jess, and our Production Chair, Kelly, who have been the backbone of our production. Their unwavering support and organizational skills have kept us all on track, ensuring that everything runs smoothly.
As we share this enchanting tale with you, I hope you feel the joy, wonder, and creativity that has gone into every aspect of this production. Thank you for joining us on this whimsical adventure! May you always approach everything in life with the wonder of Pure Imagination.
Warm regards,
Jean Isaac
