Shawn Brentham
Production / Creative Director
“Holiday Lock In” marks the 42nd show Mr. Brentham has directed at Irving High School. He feels blessed to be working at such a great school with such great students. Mr. Brentham received a BFA in Acting from the College of Santa Fe, and then moved to New York where he worked as an actor for ten years. Mr. Brentham has also worked in Boston and toured the country as a performer. He is grateful to all the great students, teachers, and administrators at Irving High. Mr. Brentham would like to thank Mr. McKee, Mr. Monreal, Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Franklin, Mrs. Seneca, Mr. Ramirez, Mrs. Addison, and stage manager Jaren Lopez, for all their many hours of hard work on this production. Most of all, he would like to thank his beautiful wife Kim and his loving daughters, Abbie, Violet Gracie, and little Mollie for all their love and support.

Jacob Ramirez
Band Director
Mr. Ramirez is the Director of Bands at Irving High School and he directs the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band I, and the Irving Tiger Marching Band. Also, he travels to Austin, De Zavala, Crockett, and Johnson Middle Schools to assist with their bands. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he studied percussion with the late Dr. Larry Vanlandingham and conducting with Michael Haithcock and Stephen Heyde. His family includes his wonderful wife (whom he met on the marching practice field at Baylor) and beautiful daughter.

Ashton Seneca
Band Assistant Director
Ashton Seneca serves as the Associate Band Director at Irving High School. Her responsibilities include teaching the Symphonic Band and Concert II band. Under her leadership, bands have been recognized as a UIL 5A State Marching Band finalists as well receiving Sweepstakes at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading. Prior to joining Irving ISD, Mrs. Seneca taught for five years at Griffin Middle School in Frisco, TX, four years at Wakeland High School, and spent the last two years consulting with Hebron High School. In 2019, she was on the staff of the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle corps when they received a silver medal. Mrs. Seneca was a mellophone performer in the Cadets Drum and Bugle corps from 2006-2009. Mrs. Seneca and her husband Jeremy live in Frisco, TX. Mrs. Seneca is a drill writer for programs in Texas and Louisiana. In her spare time, Mrs. Seneca is an avid reader, teaches student leadership clinics, and loves discussing marching band and psychology.
