Roslin Smith, Scriptwriter
Professor Roslin Smith is in the Communications Department at the State University of New York at Fredonia. Ms. Smith was an award-winning director of media at the Art Institute of Charleston. She has worked on pubic museum projects, teaches film and video, cinematography, lighting, documentary production, and script writing. Her research centers on historical documentaries.
Smith created Priscilla’s Legacy a documentary about a slave girl which won Best Regional Short at the Charleston Film Festival in 2014. Moods, Mountains and Masterpieces. A Portrait of An Artist won two separate BEA Creative Excellence awards. She collaborated on Good Storytelling with Professor Mike Igoe. She also created Among the Hemlocks, and Fantastic Stories from Fredonia, NY which has been screened internationally.
