Hello, Dolly has been an exciting musical to work on … Not only has it given us all a taste of history in the 1890s, but the musical’s message of connection has also been important to explore, especially in the world of 2017, where many connections are happening through text, social media, and other forms of technology. We have become a family while working on this musical all year long, and the memories made from every round of four corners, vocal warm-ups, drilling choreography, or even dress rehearsal will carry over later in life when dealing with confidence, self-esteem, and the ability to connect in person. “When you perform, you are out of yourself- larger and more potent.
