SYNOPSIS

 SETTING

A modest, Upper Middle Class home in Brooklyn, New York.

ACT I

6pm on Christmas Eve; it is snowing heavily

Thomas Douglas and his daughter Beth are busily preparing to be invaded by their quirky relatives for their annual Christmas Eve dinner. They expect certain challenges with all the family gathered, but they do NOT expect the additional knock on the door bringing some very unwelcome intruders.

ACT II

Later that same evening

As the evening wears on, it is becoming harder to tell who is more miserable--the Douglas family being held hostage, or their two bumbling captors. They will slowly drive each other crazy, but also find some common ground and the true meaning of Christmas.
