SYNOPSIS
Annie is the story of an orphan who was dropped at the door of the orphanage as an infant with only a locket and a note from her parents saying they would one day return for her.
The story is set in New York City, 1933. Annie is now 11 years old and desparate to find her parents. She unsuccessfully attempts to run away from the orphanage only to be returned to Miss Hannigan by Lt. Ward. Grace Farrell, Mr. Oliver Warbucks' secretary, comes to the orphanage to find a suitable orphan to spend the Christmas holidays with Mr. Warbucks at the Warbuck Mansion.
The rest of the story unfolds as Mr. Warbucks attempts to help Annie find her real parents. Throughout the story, we learn that there is more than one way to become a family.
