Trey Anderson

as Young Shrek

Trey is delighted to be making his theatre and Backlight debut by performing in the same story as one of his all-time favorite movies! He enjoys being a big brother. He also enjoys gymnastics and reporting the daily weather with the dream of one day becoming a weatherman. He would like to thank his family for supporting him!
Zach Wood

as Shrek #1

Zach made his Backlight premiere last year, appearing as Michael Banks in Mary Poppins and Scrooge in a staged reading of A Christmas Carol. Zach also participated in the Drama program at Brentwood High School. He loves doing voice overs and impressions! Favorites include: Mrs. Doubtfire, Herman Munster, and Paul McCann.
Alex Balkon

as Shrek #2

Alex is thrilled to be making his Backlight debut in the title role of Shrek! Alex participated in Drama Classes at Ravenwood High School. Apart from theatre, Alex is involved in Photography with Able Voices and has his own YouTube Channel where he shares fun facts about his favorite animal, wolves.
Tony Whitley

as Shrek #3

Tony has been a Backlight Ensemble member for years. You've likely seen him as George Banks in Mary Poppins, the Cowardly Lion in Wizard of Oz, and as part of the Ensemble in Romeo & Juliet and Peter Pan. Tony loves to do voice over/impressions of any of the characters in Spongebob and is a huge Jimmy Buffet fan!
Ben McNeese

as Shrek #4

Ben has been apart of several Backlight Productions! Most recently, he played George Banks in Mary Poppins the Musical. Ben gave an unforgettable performance as the Cowardly Lion in Wizard of Oz and sang the solo, "If I Were King of the Forest." Other credits include Romeo & Juliet (Romeo) in partnership with the Nashville Shakespeare Festival and Circus Momentus (Bear).
