as Truvy Jones
Candice began singing at age two with her family showband. She starred in her first play at age twelve as Sister Leo in “Nunsense.” Singing Gospel is her passion. You will also find her in the audience cheering on her son, Hunter, and her daughter, Harmony, both veteran performers. Candice dedicates “Truvy” to all women conquering the world with grace, grit and love.

Sophia discovered her love for theatre at a very young age, and has been performing ever since. This is her first show at the Bastrop Opera House, and she has had a beautiful time. She would like to thank her family, partner, friends and work family for their continued and loving support. She is very grateful for the opportunity and the new friends she has made.

as Clairee Belcher
Terri Bennett is happy to be doing this beloved play with this talented cast and director. She loves playing Southern women – Clairee, Mattie Faye (August Osage County), Amanda (Glass Menagerie) and Big Mama (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof). Texas Cotton and Cyst are her latest film projects. Her writing group has produced The 12 Plays of Christmas and The Waiting Room.

as Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie
Sarah recently moved to Bastrop with her two dogs, Pete and Luke, and is making her Opera House debut. She works from her lovely home developing healthcare software and is a Hospice Nurse Practitioner. She is so thankful and humbled to be back in the theatre working with this ensemble. She could not be here without the love and support of her friends and family.

Christina Burbank Shelton
as M'Lynn Eatenton
Christina is excited to return to the Opera House stage with this talented team! After 18 years as a HS Theatre Director, she loves putting those skills to work in educational events and marketing. She has an MA in Theatre Production and serves as a UIL One Act Play adjudicator. She is excited to make her Opera House directing debut with Freaky Friday the Musical in 2024.
