Brenda Bell
Producing Artistic Director
Brenda founded Literally Alive Theatre in 1999 and Be Bold! Productions in 2009. She haswritten the book and lyrics for each production, including 13 with composer Michael Sgouros.
Her adaptations of A Christmas Carol and original musical Tico Tales where featured in CostaRica at Teatro Jaco. As the ownerof the Showboat Theatre, she wrote and produced shows for theatre legends including MickeyRooney, Jamie Farr, Van Johnson, Mimi Hines and Frank Gorshin. She would like to thank thePlayers Theatre for providing the perfect home for her whimsy and always encouraging her tobe bold! Special thanks to Michael Sgouros for his unending support, inspiration and trust.

This will be her fifth original play presented at the venue, having previously produced Love Potion 69, Somewhere Under the Rainbow, Good Intentions, and The Weird SIsters. Acting Credits include – Off-Broadway: The Stranger, Blood Countess, A Christmas Carol the Musical, Murder on the Links; Off Off-Broadway/Local: The Importance of Being Earnest, The Voyage of Sally Hemings, A Midsummer Night's Dream.

is a graduate from the City College of New York with her BA in Theater & minor in English. All of her love and thanks go out to everyone at the Players Theatre, her mom and sister for always supporting her, her amazing friends, Toby and Peanut for the cuddles.
