Rebecca Lopkin, Founder and Artistic Director
Envision Theater is an educational theater company that brings the joy of theater to schools throughout New Jersey and New York. Our mission of “Imagine-Create-Perform” fuels our goal of providing quality, original and interactive theater workshops and productions to children of all ages. We are dedicated to fostering self-esteem, individuality, and teamwork in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. We believe that hands-on experiential learning is the key to greater understanding. We are committed to keeping our pulse on the latest in educational practices and infusing that knowledge into our curriculum. Envision Theater welcomes diversity, and contributes tot he community by reinforcing the values of responsibility, commitment, integrity and respect.
Rebecca Lopkin created this company with Jewish Day Schools in mind. She is a product of a Day School education, having attended elementary school in New Jersey and middle and high school (Hillel) in Miami. Joining the theater program at the Hillel Community Day School in North Miami Beach, Florida has set her on a path which has guided her until today. She realized what a tremendous positive effect involvement in theater has had on her life and wanted to provide that to another generation of Day School Students.
Ms. Lopkin remarked, “Theater is a great equalizer; there is something for every child in every production- from acting to set design to lights and sound. Theater by its nature addresses 21st century learning though Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity. I have designed Envision Theater with this in mind. Our workshops, classes and programs are designed in harmony with 'the four Cs'.”
