In an effort to educate our audience and students on the art of theatre; it is important to understand and practice proper etiquette when watching a performance. Below are some helpful tips and reminders:
*Arrive on time
*All electronics must be turned off and put away before the performance begins. Cellphones are extremely distracting to other audience members and the actors.
*Photography, video recording, and audio recording are not permitted during the performance.
*Be respectful in the theater by keeping your feet off of the seats.
*The performance is about to begin once the lights start to flicker. At this time, please stop talking and find your seat.
*Talking is NOT permitted during the performance.
*Use the restroom before the performance, during intermission, or wait until the end. It is disruptive to have audience members moving about while the performance is taking place.
*Appropriate responses such as laughing and applauding are appreciated. Pay attention to the actors on stage; they will let you know what is appropriate.
*Review the program. It contains helpful information pertaining to the performance
*Do not leave before curtain call
*Keep your eyes, ears, mind, and heart open to the entire experience. Enjoy yourself!
