    Owen Hess is the son of Steve and Jennifer Hess. Owen made his theatrical debut as James Bailey in Barnum in 2018. He also performed as the Professor in Narnia and appeared in the competitive one-act Star-Crossed Lovers. He is the treasurer for Thespian Troupe #7549, and is also an active member of the Indian Insider crew and an avid fan of Indian athletics. Owen studies voice and piano with Josh Stubbs, and is a member of the Shakespeare Apprentice Troupe.

     

  • Shelby Whiteman* head shot

    Shelby is the daughter of Dan and Diane Whiteman. She has been performing since the age of four. This is her seventeenth production. Her favorite roles have been Dopey in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, a duckling in Honk!, a juggler in Barnum, and Lucy Pevensie in Narnia. Shelby is the captain of Bridgeport High School’s Frontline, and a flautist in the Symphonic Band. She is in National Honor Society and an officer in Spanish Honor Society. Shelby is a member of the BHS Dance Ensemble. She attends Bridgeport United Methodist Church, where she is amember in the Seraphim Choir and Youth Group. Shelby is also an active member of Younglife and Campaigners.

    Madyia is the daughter of Lucinda and Zack Huffman, and Darren and Candi McCullough. She is thrilled to be playing the role of the Emily Hobbs in this years production of Elf the Musical. Madyia currently serves as President of Thespian Troupe #7549 and has been involved in the theatre programs since her freshman year of high school. She has previously starred in school productions such as Leader of the Pack, Bury the Dead, Barnum, Narnia, and was the stage manager for Mamma Mia. Madyia is also a member of the Lady Indians Track and Field team. In 2018, Madyia was crowned the AA State Discus Champion. She would like to thank her family and friends for all their support, and wishes the cast and crew of Elf the best of luck.
