    Roxanne has been a director and theatre educator more than 20 years. Past directing credits include Calendar Girls, Mary’s Wedding, Macbeth, Rez Sisters, The Vagina Monologues, And Then There Were None, Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad (Spark Theatre), Noises Off, Dracula, Sexy Laundry, Blood Relations, The 39 Steps, Strangers Among Us, Strawberries in January (Odyssey Productions), Mending Fences (E.A. Rawlinson Centre), Mary Poppins Jr., Elf Jr., Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, Shrek Jr. (Broadway North), Nurse Jane Goes to Hawaii, Run For Your Wife, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Jungle Book, Pageant, Brighton Beach Memoirs and Les Belles Soeurs (Keyano Theatre), The Laramie Project, Possible Worlds, How I Learned to Drive, The Trial of Judith K., Home Free (Studio 99). She teaches/taught theatre for First Nations University, University of Saskatchewan, SUNTEP, University of Regina, and Broadway North Youth Company.

    Musical Director

    Throughout her early years Karen studied voice and piano with Cheryl Tradewell, then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Music degree with Great Distinction in Vocal Performance from the U of S, and completed the Associate Diploma in Piano Performance from Trinity College of London. She is currently a member of the SRMTA and has previously been active with the local PA Kiwanis Music Festival board. She has also directed the music for Broadway North Theatre Company’s Mary Poppins Jr., Alice in Wonderland Jr., Elf Jr., Peter Pan Jr., Beauty and the Beast Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Jr., Aladdin Jr. and Annie. Past performing credits include Summer Stock performances of Vi Moore in Footloose, Laurie in Oklahoma, Miss Marian Paroo in The Music Man, Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof and Grace Bradley in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Her most recent performance has been in Spark Theatre Company’s Marg Szkaluba: Pissy’s Wife.
