Into the Woods - March 16 - March 18, 2017

Cary High School

 FROM THE DIRECTOR

When we decided to take on INTO THE WOODS this year as our spring musical, we knew that this would be the greatest undertaking in our professional careers. Not only is ITW incredibly challenging musically, it also happens to be one of the largest scripts/scores we have ever encountered! Extremely popular, the stage version and the recent movie version has helped to make ITW even more difficult to strive to emulate. However, we knew that this was the year to take on this monster of a show! The talent at Cary High is over flowing. Not only do we have the incredible voices from last year returning, we have a star-studded Freshman class that has so beautifully graced our stage. We are so fortunate to work with them day in and day out.

To the cast--thank you for trusting my vision and going along on this crazy journey. I believe all your hard work will pay off tonight! I can't wait for everyone to enjoy what I have been listening to for the last 8 weeks! Break your legs!!

To the crew---you all are amazing! Thank you for the hard work and for being the glue that holds it all together!

To my family--Thank you for allowing me to persue my passions and never putting pressure on me to do more! You two are my world! Love you!

And finally---to the most amazing production team I could ask for. Abby--you rock! Thank you for always saying YES and helping me laugh along the way. Ed--you are a saint! Thank you for trusting me and joining me on another show! Quite simply, you are the best!

We hope you enjoy the show this evening. We never take this job for granted. We know how incredibly blessed we are to be at Cary High and to get to work with these amazing students. Thank you for continuing to support your Public School Arts programs!
