Note from the Director
Thank you so much for coming to our production of Theory of Relativity! Even virtually, this musical has the ability to touch hearts and deliver perspective. I had the opportunity to see this show workshopped 7 years ago, and I have been looking for the chance to direct it ever since. The songs stuck in my head, and the life lessons stayed with me. Because the show was developed directly from the firsthand experiences of college freshman, it is full of material that is relevant to our young artists. The honest storytelling, and the emphasis on connection is exactly the message that we need in these turbulent times. After over a year of shutdowns and delays, we were ecstatic to be able to put together a show - restrictions and all. Once again we have had the chance to experience how theatre and the sharing of stories, not only brings people together, but elevates them as well. These young performers have truly embraced this piece with all of their heart and talent, and I am honored to present the show that you will be viewing!
