Matthew Thornton Matt Thornton is excited to be directing High School Musical, Jr. for CMS! He teaches 6th Grade Social Studies at CMS and helped start the CMS Drama Program as the Director/Choreographer for Hairspray, Jr., Legally Blonde, Jr., and Footloose Jr. Past stage credits include Oklahoma! (Curley), Forever Plaid (Frankie), The Sound of Music (Rolf), Les Misérables (Marius), Annie (Rooster), The Music Man (Marcellus/Choreographer), Bye-Bye, Birdie (Hugo), Footloose (Ren/Choreographer), Annie, Get Your Gun (Tommy), Shrek: the Musical (Donkey/Choreographer), You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Schroeder), The Little Mermaid (Sebastian/Asst. Director), Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere), and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Freddy). He has also directed/choreographed High School Musical, Beauty & the Beast, Cinderella, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Guys and Dolls, & The Addams Family  for Holy Cross Catholic Church Youth Drama Camp. He is so proud of the kids! He wants to thank his friends & family for their love & support, his sister Kaitlyn who is his inspiration to perform, and his beautiful fiance Sarah- the rock, light, and love of his life.

Michelle Gibson Michelle Gibson has been Chorus Director at CMS for 6 years. She began her music career singing with her mother in the church choir. She was part of the high school Drama Club & played in the pit orchestra for shows like “Aida” and “West Side Story.” She was drum major for her high school band, and part of the Redcoat Marching Band, Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, & African American Choral Ensemble at UGA. Go Dawgs! She could not be more excited about producing this musical, & she is SO proud of these kids. We’re all in this together!

Lindsay Roberts Ms. Roberts is the Art Teacher at CMS and is extremely proud of what the tech crew has accomplished for this production. She is so excited to be back on the stage and creating again! She is proud of the cast, but sends a shout out to the best Tech Crew ever-Back in Black- and  lovin’ every minute of it! She’d be remiss if she didn’t send a giant personal ‘Thank you!’ to all the parents, CCHS students, and especially George- thanks for always being there- love you!
