Elias Assimakopoulos - Producer

Elias is the band director at Chatham High School and is excited to make his professional reed playing debut! He is a graduate of the Crane School of Music where he studied trombone and got degrees in Music Education and Jazz Studies. Outside of teaching he is an active performer in the capital region music scene. Music directing includes Little Women and Mamma Mia, he has assitant directed Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Some show performance credits include Ain't Misbehavin', Anything Goes, Damn Yankees, Urinetown, Sound of Music, Secret Garden, and Sweeney Todd  He would like to give a shoutout to the creative team and to the cast and crew for putting so much work in to make an amazing performance!

 

Abby Brownell - Special Events Coordinator

Abby Brownell has been teaching elementary music in Chatham since the end of the last millennium. She is currently the Music Department team leader as well as Special Events Coordinator for the theater program. More importantly, she is the proud mother of Paxton and Cyrus.

 

Jamie Faxon-Baksa - Choreographer

Jamie Baksa is a co-owner, with her mother, of the Faxon School of Dance. Her theater credits include the Performing Arts Center at RPI, the Mac-Haydn Theatre and the Theatre Barn. Besides choreographing the annual Chatham High School musical, Jamie has also choreographed productions at the Brittonkill and East Greenbush schools. When not involved in dance she is involved with children in her capacity as a school nurse in the Brittonkill School District.

 

 

Wayne Gearing - Master Carpenter

Wayne is a lifelong resident of East Chatham, NY. Wayne holds a BS in Science Education and a MS in Education Technology from UAlbany and was a Science teacher at Chatham Middle School for 13 years and Taconic Hills High School for 13 years. His last few years at Taconic Hills he was the Technical Director for their Performing Arts Center and has recently done Scenic Construction for Columbia County Youth Theatre.

 

Stacy Hand - Costume Designer

Stacy has worked as a costume designer for Chatham Drama Club for the past 3 years. She has also designed and produced costumes for the Ballet and All That Jazz Dance Studio, Upstage Productions, Columbia County Youth Theatre, as well as over a decade of tailoring and clothing construction experience. Stacy loves to work with children and teach them how to express and enhance characters through costumes, props, and accessories.

 

Eddie Knight - Director

A proud 2013 graduate of Chatham High School, Eddie earned a Bachelor's Degree in Musical Theatre from The Theatre Institute at Russell Sage College in 2017. His stage credits include work at The Mac-Haydn Theatre, Upstage Productions, Dorset Theatre Festival, and New York Theatre Workshop. Eddie is the Education Program and Internship Coordinator for the Theatre Institute at Russell Sage College and has worked as a Teaching Artist and Editing Director for The Columbia County Youth Theatre and formerly served on the board of The Ghent Playhouse. Eddie sends all the love in the world to his friends and family, and his eternal thanks to the great directors, mentors, and teachers he's had, without whom this show would not be possible.
