Little Shop of Horrors - March 15 - March 17, 2024

Chatham High School

  Director's & Principal's Greeting

This show would not have been possible without the generous support of a small army of Chatham’s most astonishing people. First, thank you to our amazing music department in Chatham for being the driving force behind the musical every year, especially our patron saint Abby Brownell. Our outgoing administrators Principal John Thorsen & Superintendent Dr. Sal DeAngelo must be acknowledged for their support of the arts at Chatham and they will both be sorely missed.

A massive thank you to the custodial & maintenance staff for keeping our theatre in tip-top shape, and to Vice Principal Justin Forrest, Deb Layton, and Sabrina Williams in the main office for their administrative (and emotional) support. The Columbia County Youth Theatre and the Theatre Institute at Sage loaned us many props and set pieces, and lumber/building materials were generously donated by Harringtons Lumber and Silvernail Wood Flooring.

A HUGE thank you to our production team; producer Elias Assimakopoulos and the Theatre Production class, our awesome music directors Samantha McShane and Brandon Kulzer, our rockstar technical director Jenn Metrando, our own Dancing Queen, choreographer Jamie Faxon-Baksa, our wickedly talented costume designer Stacy Hand, our dedicated and handy master carpenter Wayne Gearing, our puppet master Sam Reilly, and our brilliant scenic designer Bill Sohmer who creates the most beautiful worlds for our students to perform in.

Of course none of this would have been possible without our hardworking Students both onstage and off who have dedicated so much of their time and energy creating Mamma Mia and showing such love for one another. On a personal note, thank you to my Family. Whether it's delivering set pieces, inspiring our pre-show playlist, or talking me off the ledge after long rehearsal days, you all are my rock and I’m eternally grateful to be riding with the Sitzer’s and Knight’s.

Thank you all for supporting our students, supporting live theatre, and for allowing us to share this story with you today.
ENJOY THE SHOW!

Eddie Knight

Greetings one and all!

Welcome to Chatham High School’s rendition of Little Shop of Horrors. Our cast and crew have been working diligently preparing for this weekend and I know you are all as excited as I am to see the fruits of their labor!

Thank you to all of our sponsors and volunteers for your support. Without your generosity, our students would not have opportunities like this to experience. We sincerely appreciate all that you do!

Best of luck to all of our participants and thank you to everyone who came out to watch these fine young men and women perform! Now it’s time to sit back and enjoy the show!
