An Evening of One Acts - December 18

Chesapeake High School

 End Notes

When our 2020 school year started, my goal was to try to keep our theater students together and continuing to work on their art. I totally expected our students to be on board to try anything, do it with 100% effort, and heart. What I did not expect was so many to try tackling a director's role.  Directing is challenging, directing your peers presents another challenge.  Being a first-time director is another challenge, top that with directing virtually in a pandemic, and these five students hit the trifecta. These girls attacked their shows with confidence, a drive I've never seen in them before, and a passion to see their Vision through. I am so incredibly proud of what they have accomplished. I love that I can share my passion for directing with them and they can share their creativity with our audience. Congratulations, Madame Directors on the success of your shows.

To our amazing cast and crew. You all worked tirelessly to make props, costumes, and your characters shine through in our virtual platform. Whether you were in one show or three of our shows, your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed. You should be very proud of the story you told.

Thank you to the CHS Administration for your continued support for our program.  A huge thank you goes out to our audience. Thank you for allowing us to step inside your homes tonight to tell not one but four incredible stories.  Thank you for supporting our program and keeping the arts alive even through a pandemic.

XOXO

Ms. Bishoff
