​Claremont High School Theatre is a nationally-acclaimed theatre department. We have over 500 students involved, many of whom are also inducted Thespians who compete at state, national, and international levels. Our students work in both the art of performing and technical theatre. We are ranked in the top 1% of theatre departments in California, and we are among the top public high school theatre departments in the nation. CHS puts on 6-8 shows a year, including plays, musicals, showcases, one-acts, and ComedySportz High School League matches. Join us in celebrating our 60th season!

The mission of the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA) is to shape lives through theatre education. EdTA honors student achievement in theatre, supports teachers by providing professional resources, and influences public opinion that theatre education is essential for building life skills. EdTA is devoted to building the very community it serves by giving back through our philanthropic arm, the Educational Theatre Foundation, which provides financial support to enhance excellence in theatre education and expand access to K-12 theatre programs to every child.

California State Thespians is the California Chapter of the International Thespian Society. The International Thespian Society (ITS), the only theatre honorary of its kind for middle and high school students. Since 1929, ITS and its troupes have affirmed the quality of affiliated theatre programs, bringing credibility and distinction to both students and schools. Together, EdTA and ITS give theatre students, teachers, and professionals necessary support to grow their theatre programs and promote the importance of theatre education.

 

 

Baldy View ROP

The Baldy View Regional Occupational Program (ROP) was established in November 1972 and is operating pursuant to a Joint Powers Agreement between the Chaffey Joint Union High School, Chino Valley Unified, Claremont Unified, and Upland Unified School Districts, to serve residents of these four districts by preparing students for career and college. Baldy View ROP is part of a statewide network of Regional Occupational Centers and Programs which began to develop more than 500,000 students who enroll annually in ROP courses to better prepare themselves for the world of work.Baldy View ROP is accredited by both Council on Occupational Education (COE) and the Accrediting Commission for Schools Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC). BVROP's reaffirmation accreditation for COE and ACS WASC was February 1-5, 2021 via virtual visit.
