Our Mission Statement:

Cloak and Daggers is a registered 501-c3 theater group of volunteers who invest their wealth of time, talents and treasure to produce and stage popular works of classical and current musical theatre, drama and mystery, cabaret and orchestral selections to benefit Philadelphia area-charities .

About Us

Cloak & Daggers Theatre Company was created out of the friendship and love of several local theatre enthusiasts in hopes of creating a new and inviting environment to allow young and blossoming artists a theatre home, while proving and opportunity for not only the company but the regional theatre community to attend performances while proving needed support to Philadelphia charities.

The Brainchild of Dr. Vincent Thompson, he with of his theatre friends (Fran Finnegan, Steve Toth, Tony Baruffi, Samantha Moscony, Laura Mancano, Bruce Wallace, Dana Quarles and Ken Price) decided to see if and how a regional live theatre production company could establish and exist in the City of Philadelphia.

In exploring their options, Dr. Thompson met Mr. Dana Matthow, Broadway Producer and Manager of the Penn’s Landing Playhouse, and he and his production group saw the merit of our endeavor to which we partnered to make this dream a reality with the Penn’s Landing Playhouse which is now our permanent home.

Through our formation Cloak and Daggers has also partnered with the Philadelphia Dance Foundation and several Philadelphia area service charities to create a model business program that elevates local theatre production, to 'theatre with a purpose-("giving theatre"), but also to profile, contribute and support the mission and vision statements of our local city charitable organizations.

With our communities support of each show produced each of our sponsoring local charities can make a lot of money. One-hundred percent (100%) of the net profits from each production are passed directly to the charity partner.
