NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR -
SYLVIA is the final play of Compass Players first season. And it is a wonderful piece to end with.
When the four founding members of Compass Players were deciding on what productions to present, we didn’t give any consideration to an overriding theme for the season. Although now looking back – we seem to have stumbled into a theme even though none was evident in the planning stages. CHAPTER TWO was about love the second time around (after a spouse dies; after a divorce), LOVE LETTERS was about unrequited love (the willingness to make the commitment to the love of your life), and SYLVIA is about unconditional and not so unconditional love .
The adage goes, “never work with children or animals on stage – they will steal the show.” Get ready to have your heart stolen.
To my Cast, Crew, Audience, Family, and Friends... I say with humility and gratitude, thank you for joining Compass Players for any or all of the shows we have presented so far... and I hope that you will want to join us for Compass Players second season starting in October.
