Co-Director
Managing Director of Court Square Theater, J.P. Gulla (Mr G) is the founder of The ACT ONE Education program. He previously co-directed Willy Wonka Jr and produced Steel Magnolias with ACT ONE. Mr G earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater (Acting/Directing) from DeSales University and holds Master’s Degrees in Acting/Fine Arts and Business Administration from The Catholic University of America. A former member of Actor’s Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, Mr G. has acted, directed, designed, and taught locally, nationally and internationally. He has served on the Arts Council of The Valley Board of Directors and was a founding member of The Maryland Shakespeare Festival, The Festival of Religious Arts, and Inside Out Modeling and Talent. He applauds the hard work all ACT ONE actors, instructors, and crew have contributed, and appreciates their enthusiasm in sharing the arts for our community to enjoy.

Leeanne Shepherd

Returning to ACT ONE after two summers of Camp and co-directing Willy Wonka, Jr last year, Leeanne Shepherd also proudly serves as the Executive Director of People Helping People and the Assistant Director of Second Home Learning Center. Ms.Shepherd passionately enjoys her dedication to the performing arts and in particular musical theater. Understanding that the children at Second Home are often excluded from extracurricular activities due to socio-economic constraints, Ms.Shepherd brought the arts to the children by creating a program that supports children’s unique talents whether on stage or off, as they work and grow together to perform. She shares her passion with ACT ONE to better serve our community.

Jay Jay Espinal Cruz

ACT ONE is excited to have Jay Jay return as the choreographer for Shrek Jr. Jay Jay has created choreography for three Second Home musicals and will be assisting Second Home with their production of "James and the Giant Peach, Jr". Jay Jay has also choreographed for ACT ONE’s “Willy Wonka, Jr”. Jay Jay’s favorite part is witnessing the children grow to enjoy theatre.
