Judine Somerville
Director/Choreographer
Judine Somerville is the recipient of the Steven Goldberg Award, as well as the F. Lammont Belin Arts Scholarship. She has performed in five original Broadway musicals including the eight-time, Tony Award winning, smash-hit Best Musical HAIRSPRAY, where she was part of the singing trio sensation 'The Dynamites.' Judine is the recipient of the historic Legacy Robe, which is awarded to the cast member who has performed in the most Broadway muscials. Judine also reprised her role for NBC-TV's live presentation HAIRSPRAY LIVE!, directed by Kenny Leon and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell. The 2016 NBC sensation featured Harvey Fierstein, Martin Short, Jennifer Hudson, Kristin Chenoweth, Ariana Grande, Andrea Martin, Sean Hayes and Rosie O'Donnell. Judine's other Broadway credits include ON THE TOWN, THE LIFE, CRAZY FOR YOU, and LATE NITE COMIC.

Justin Smusz
Stage Manager
Justin Smusz is a BFA Musical Theatre major at Indiana University. He made his Broadway debut at the 2017 Jimmy Awards and has been a part of the Goodman Theatre Musical Theatre Intensive Program. At IU, he is on the Board of Directors as Music Director for The University Players. He is thrilled to be spending the summer in Charlottesville at DMR Adventures!

Xavier Taylor
Music Director
Xavier is a performer and singing teacher based in Charlottesville. He is originally from Maryland and studied voice at the New England Conservatory. Currently he's the Choir Director at Field School, and continuing his work as a Music Director for DMR(Nevermore, Les Miserables, Lion King, Junie B. Jones, Little Mermaid Jr.). He now teaches voice lessons through DMR.

Mark Williams
Assistant Director
Mark has been with DMR for two and half years and is honored to assistant direct Hairspray Jr. You may have recently seen him play John Shelton in Charlotteville's orginal production of "Old School." He's also taken up roles such as Player 1, The Melancholy Jaques, Beedle Bamford, and Seaweed J. Stubbs. Mark's passions are God, Family, and Music.
